We are not exactly sure where the year has gone, but somehow it is time again for us to close the Inner Harbour for the winter months.

Thank you to all of you, both locals and visitors alike, who have visited the Harbour this year. Since reopening in April, after a challenging time for all, it has been an amazing year, and we have really loved seeing so many of you enjoying our beautiful Harbour, village, beaches and classic ships. Whether you took a sailing trip, stopped for a bite to eat, did a spot of shopping, stayed on ‘Our Daddy’ or simply enjoyed the views, thank you.

The Charlestown Harbour Team would also thank the National Lottery Heritage Fund for the Cultural Recovery Fund for Heritage  grant awarded to us earlier in the year. The grant enabled us to reopen the Harbour, which in turn allowed our Harbour friends,  the local pop-up businesses to open: Cornish Cream, Surfbox Cornwall, Cubs Coffee, Rum Sailor, HarbourQ, Gylly Adventures and Charlestown Fish Co. Thank you to the fund and the lottery players that enable it.

From today, Cubs Coffee will be back in their winter pop-up position, by the ‘Nomos’ boat near the cask bank. Charlestown Fish Co, located near the Pier House, will be opening on Fridays and Saturdays and keep an eye on the Rum Sailor’s social media for ad hoc opening  – they are also available for private bookings. The Outer Harbour remains open for those of you who enjoy a winter stroll or dip in the sea.
