Anny was built in 1930 in Denmark by Carstensen and Henriksen of Skagen, originally as a fishing vessel. She fished until 1972, with a period under German control during WWII. In 1972 she was converted to a topsail schooner, following which she worked in Europe and the Caribbean and undertook a world tour. Anny came home to Charlestown in July 2019 to a warm Cornish welcome, after delivery from Germany by the Harbour Team.

Day sailing is highly weather dependent, and we reserve the right to cancel trips if the weather is not conducive to the safety of the vessel, her crew or passengers. We will not be deterred by a bit of rain (wet weather gear is available to borrow if you forget yours!), but if the wind or sea-state are forecast as unsafe we will let you know at the earliest opportunity. In the case of a cancellation we will do everything we can to find space for you on one of our other trips or offer a full refund.
Lifejackets and all safety equipment are provided on board.
Unfortunately we do not allow children under 10 on our sailing trips, and we would ask that anyone with concerns about their mobility should contact us in advance of booking to discuss the suitability of sailing aboard.
We would also advise anyone who is at all worried about seasickness to take precautions in advance of their trip. Seasickness tablets and pressure-point travel bands both work well, but please follow the advice of your pharmacist and read the instructions carefully.
For private sailing trips, a 25% deposit will be required to confirm your booking, with the balance due the week before. For individual ticket sales the full ticket price will be required to confirm your booking.
