Charlestown Harbour Reopening 2026 – Commemorative Print Edition
To mark the reopening of Charlestown Harbour in 2026, we are releasing two Limited Edition Photographic Prints.
Each edition is limited to 100 copies only.
Each print will be individually hand-numbered.
Once the edition closes, it will not be reproduced.
These prints have been created to capture two defining perspectives of the harbour at a pivotal moment in its history.

The Lock Gate Installation 2026
Photography by Harvey Dunstan – HD Drone Photography
The first image offers a rare aerial view of Charlestown Harbour and village during the lock gate works.
Captured by local drone photographer Harvey Dunstan, the photograph shows the harbour mid-transformation – the new gate in place, the engineering visible, the coastline and surrounding landscape framing the scale of the project.
It is not a romanticised view. It is honest. It documents the work that has taken place to secure the harbour’s future.
Harvey’s aerial perspective allows you to see the harbour as part of the wider village and coastline – a reminder that this regeneration has impact far beyond the walls of the dock itself.

Charlestown Inner Harbour
Photography by James Pearce
The second image captures the harbour as many know and love it – tall masts, still water, reflections at dusk.
Taken several years ago by photographer and former photojournalist James Pearce, this image has quietly become one of the most recognisable contemporary views of Charlestown Harbour.
James has since stepped away from professional photography, but this photograph remains a powerful and atmospheric record of the harbour at its most iconic – a living harbour filled with vessels and light.
Together, the two images tell a complete story:
The engineering and renewal.
The atmosphere and heritage.

Supporting the Harbour
We are deeply grateful to both photographers for allowing their images to be used as part of this commemorative edition.
Proceeds from the prints contribute towards the ongoing work of maintaining and developing Charlestown Harbour as a working, living historic port.
This edition marks a reopening – but it also helps support the harbour’s next chapter.
